KoDatos
Overview
KoDatos is a project that aims to provide Local Government Units (LGUs) with a unified platform for managing COVID-19 vaccination records and test results. The system functions as a centralized website that collates data from hospitals and laboratories, allowing for the creation of a standardized vaccination card design and digital copies for the public. Its primary objective is to simplify the collection and organization of health data across different localities while creating a single, reliable source for verifying records.
The project addresses specific issues regarding document security and efficiency, particularly the problem of people presenting fake vaccination cards or test results to travel or enter workplaces. To solve this, the platform sorts and examines documents, automatically notifying users if missing or false information is detected. This validation process is designed to reduce the confusion caused by current data encoding methods and significantly lower the chance of exposure to individuals using forged documents.
Contributions
- Developed a system for handling test results and vaccination records, primarily focused on COVID-19, that allowed people to verify the authenticity of these documents.
- Integrated many useful features, such as the ability to scan QR codes from vaccination records and test results.
